Civil War Prisons

I recently found a document dated May 13, 1865, titled "Special Orders No 99 Release of Dr. E. W. McMillan". The extract is very hard to read but apparently he (my gggrandfather) was a prisoner in the civil war, and this order was releasing him. Here is what I can actually read.
In complaiance with S. O. No 99 ????? Dist of West Tenn Dated Memphis Tenn May 8th, 1865 Doctor E. W. McMillan will be released from custody at the A. M. Prison. (There are several signatures, and here is how I read them) Col John ? Ruhn, ?. A. Copeland and Capt A. A. ? (Also listed is ) Capt Jas. T Cooper, ?? A. M. Prison.

I have not located any A. M. Prison. I have been looking for Edward W McMillan's civil war history, but so far this is it, other than the Southern Claims Commission requests.

Any help with what and/or where this prison might be would be a great help.

Thanks
