He was born about 1877.
His name is spelled Rogers and Rodgers on various documents.
He could possibly have been orphaned and raised in a foster or work-foster situation.
In 1908 he married Mallie B. Clark, daughter of Naomi (Ommie) Carver and Dave Clark.
Major Flynn stood surety for him to get married.
He listed himself as James Thomas Rogers, occupation blacksmith, on his World War I draft registration card.
His mother and father are not on his death certificate because no one in the family knew or knows who they were.
He died in 1953 and is listed as being buried in Dickson Cemetery (though I cannot find his or any Rogers' graves there).
He and Mallie had three children: Aline b 1915 (my mother), Lorene b 1912 & Lucile b 1909.
He moved around Smith and Jackson Counties: Granville, Pleasant Shade, Chestnut Mound, Carthage, Elmwood, Dillard's Creek.

ANY information regarding his parents or any of his family members will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
