I am looking for the death dates and burial place for Claiborne Jackson and his wife, Margaret Woolbright Jackson. They were born about 1819 in South Carolina and lived in Jackson County, Tennessee. They did sometime after 1880 and may be buried in the Pippin Cemetery in Flynns Lick.

Yes you are right they were buried in the John L. Pippin Cemetery, their graves along with at least 2 of their children have been destroyed, Confirmed by Ms. Elva Johnston., Claborn was her grandfather.

When the current Tavern was built, dozier destroyed many graves. Opal Robinson got the destruction stopped.

The last visit was1 June 1997, when the Jackson County Cemetery book was being worked on.

Claborn was a Soldier in CSA.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the cemeteries are being destroyed every where, we are working as fast as we can to try to

preserve them, but big money talks.

Have a great day.
