Lawrence County Sheriff and Deputy around 1954 or so

My grandfather served as Lawrence County's Sherriff around this time (around 1954) with my father as deputy. My grandfather died in 1979, and my father is actually 82 now, so I cannot get a lot of information that I am wanting. My father talks about this time in his life a lot, therefore, me being a scrapbooker, I would love to get as much information and possibly photos as I can to document and preserve for my family. My grandmother served as the jail's cook too. If anyone has any documents, photos or anything else relevant that I might could get copies of, I would greatly appreciate it. Even if you just have a story to share of them with me, I'd love it.
