Garrett Hall was born in Wilkes County, NC 9 Nov 1785 and died in Morgan County, TN 4 Oct 1862
Father: Samuel Hall (1760-1819); Mother: Letitia Hendrix (1759-1840); Spouse Matilda (Talitha) Davidson (1765-1871)
Garrett was the first Morgan County, TN Sheriff (1818-1820) and was the son-in-law of Colonel William Lee Davidson
Garrett and his family had lived in Lancing, my history only shows he died in Morgan County; his wife died nine years after his death and I have she died in Sunbright. I have been unable to locate where Garrett and his wife are buried, does any one know where they are buried?

Garrett's parents are buried in the Elizabeth Cemetery in Morgan County

Hello. I am the great great great granddaughter of Garrett Hall. I don't have much information on this side of my family, but I do know that Garrett Hall had a grandson, also Garrett Hall, who lived on Gobey and owned a general store in the Gobey community. There has since been a bridge named after him. There will be a dedication of Garrett Hall Bridge on Saturday, July 25, 2015. I thought I would post this information in case any family or members of the community might want to attend.

Garrett Hall, the grandson of Garrett Hall, and his wife Etta, had 7 children: Pleas, Gertrude, Viola, Fred, Albert, Ernest, and Alvin. Etta remarried after Garret's death to a man named Riley Hamby, and had two more sons, LA and Riley(Rcool smiley Hamby. These are half brothers to the 7 Hall children.
