I am running into a dead end with my 3X Great Grandfather, William A. West. He first shows up on an 1850 census at age 6 (putting his birth year around 1844). He is living with Edward and Margaret Sanderson. He is seemingly orphaned as he also shows on the 1860 census living with the Sanderson's still. Any help or knowledge would VERY much appreciated.
