I am looking for my great great grandfather which I heard about him using the name "Jackson" Baggett.
He has been referred to as "Jack" and "John" in his children's obituaries. So I'm not really sure what his first name is.

There are hundreds of people searching online for him but I am thinking that maybe they have given the wrong birth year.
The reason I think this is because his second wife was born in 1859 and people keep saying that "Jackson" was born in 1831 but that's a 28 year difference. I have not seen that type of age span anywhere in my family.

From the best of my knowledge, "Jackson" was born in Stewart County, according to the 1870 census. But I really don't know where to go from here.

According to ancestry.com, there are no "John", "Jackson" or "Jack's" born in the year 1831.
I guess it was customary to marry pretty close to your own age and if his wife was born in 1859, the closest years I can find with his names is 1856, 1858, 1859, and 1860.

Any ideas?
