Early Wright Settlers

James Wright and two of his sons were some of the first settlers of Fayette Co. after its creation. James arrived about 1824 from Halifax Co. NC (b.VA) with sons Willis and Matthias. A third son, Robert Roper Wright, also lived there for a short time, then moved on to Marion Co. AL where he lived near another son and daughter, Dr. James Henry Wright and Lucinda Wright who had moved from Hardeman Co. TN. Another relative, Isaac Wright, also settled in Fayette Co. at this time. James acquired 300 acres through land warrants and Matthias acquired 10 acres through a land warrant. Matthias had a daughter and son. The daughter married a Montgomery in Shelby Co. Both Willis and Matthias are buried in the Montgomery plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
I would deeply appreciate any information regarding James Wright, especially the location of his farm, his burial place or any information regarding the son of Matthias. I am a direct lineal descendant of James. Thank you in advance. Douglas Wright
