i went to find a grave. com and there he was. b oct 1765 SC d. 1832 on his site there is àn obit posted.
there was no thomas listed but there were 2 marys.
mary b. 1779 d. 1861
mary b. 1799 d. 1861
david w. j. b. shaw b. ? died jan 3 1826
william c. shaw b. jul 6 1833 d. aug 21 1852

deb you should have given your ancestors name and veteran stats because someoe else may already have found him apart from any official list. some places had special aid for families of cw vets that werent 'official' but may e recorded.. good luck

sorry new puter very touchy. john green was a private in the confederate civil war i dont know if he did any thing else but he enlisted and was in Smiths cavalry. i have that info. the va moseley researchers havent been able to help me place him with parents but i a hoping someone in bedford co can. thank you.

i am researching the henry williams d. oct 1827 will probated sep 1841 family the james williams d. bef 1840 family martha winemiller williams d. 1839 and conrad w. williams born 1821/22 in montgomery county.
court doc of sep 1841 mentions conrad and his guardian(another henry williams appointed when conrad w williams was 17)
