My husband's family line is James Stephenson (Stevenson) and Obedience "Biddy" Vann from Madison County, Alabama. They lived in Bedford County @ 1850 after moving there from Tishimingo County, Mississippi. James Stephenson died while the family lived in Bedford County and he is buried there...somewhere! I have census records from Civil District W 23, enumerated on the 16th of October. I
