I am also interested in this family. My g-g-g grandfather, Edward T. Pickett, was brother to John A. Pickett. I have seen mention of a John Pickett Sr. born in 1770 and died in 1830 in Marion Co. TN. I have copies of documents showing that John A. and Edward purchased two slaves from their siblings. The documents suggest the settlement of an estate. Whose?? I haven't been able to identify. I
